Apollo 13, NASA's third flight to the moon, ran into trouble when the spacecraft suffered an explosion two days into its journey.
It was a quite difficult wiring fault that threatened to kill everyone on board.
However, NASA's scientists managed to give the crew instructions on how to fix the problem and they were able to return safely back to earth.
Millions of Beatles fans all over the world were left heartbroken when the band split up. They would never perform together as a foursome again.

When the NASA scientists were trying to advise the crew on how to fix the problem on Apollo 13, they had to use cardboard tubes and the same other spare items that the astronauts had on board the spacecraft. This was shown in a film made in 1995 callled simply 'Apollo 13' and starring Tom Hanks, the voice of Woody the cowboy from Toy Story!
