How much people did people earn?

One of the strangest Victorian events occur when one of the standing stones at Stonehenge falls over on the last day of the 1800s, the 31st December 1899.

Invention:

At Queen Victoria’s funeral, London was decorated in purple and white because the Queen hated black funerals.

 

 

Victorian fact:

The ‘Great refractor’ telescope is completed in Postsdam in Germany, leading to many great space discoveries during the next century.

Queen Victoria's age and reign:

Queen Victoria was 80 years old on the 24th May and had been Queen for 62 years.
