How much people did people earn?

Queen Victoria celebrated her Diamond Jubilee. It consisted of processions, outpourings of affection for the popular Queen, tree planting and a special thanksgiving ceremony at St Paul’s Cathedral.

Invention:

The most important lessons in a Victorian school were the ‘three Rs’ – (r)eading, w(r)iting and a(r)ithmetic (maths).

 

 

Victorian fact:

Guglielmo Marconi sends the first ever wireless message over open sea when the message "Are you ready?" is transmitted across the Bristol Channel.

Queen Victoria's age and reign:

Queen Victoria was 78 years old on the 24th May and had been Queen for 60 years.
