How much people did people earn?

Queen Victoria celebrates her Golden Jubilee after 50 years on the throne. She travels in an open carriage to Westminster Abbey, escorted by Indian cavalry, and cheered by huge crowds.

Invention:

Queen Victoria’s real name was much longer! It was Alexandrina Victoria and this was shortened to “Drina” by her family.

 

 

Victorian fact:

The gramophone is patented in the US by German immigrant Emile Berliner, and for the first time people can play their favourite music.
