A highly qualified doctor earned £11.49 a week, which was 11 pounds, 9 shillings and 9 pence in Victorian money.

 

How much people did people earn?

Invention:

The growth of industry made the population of Great Britain grow from 16 million to 37 million people during the Victorian period.

Victorian fact:

Thomas Twyford builds the first one-piece flushing toilet, but the actual design was invented by another man called J. G. Jennings.
