How much people did people earn?

The Natural History Museum is opened in London with money made from the Great Exhibition of 1851.  It is built directly opposite the statue of the man who made it possible, the Prince Albert Memorial.

Invention:

Britain became one of the most powerful countries in the world during Victoria’s reign, and the collection of countries it controlled became known as ‘The British Empire’.

London's new Savoy Theatre becomes the first public building in the world to be lit completely by electricity.
