How much people did people earn?

Queen Victoria unveils The Albert Memorial in Hyde Park, London.  It is a large gold covered statue of Prince Albert holding a copy of a catalogue from the Great Exhibition of 1851, his greatest achievement.

Invention:

There were no painkillers or headache tablets in Victorian times.  If you were in pain you had to put up with it!

 

 

Victorian fact:

James Starley invents the ‘Penny Farthing’ bicycle.  Although it looks very strange now, it was originally called ‘The Ordinary Bicycle’.
