How much people did people earn?

David Livingstone discovers the largest waterfall in the world in Africa, and names it the ‘Victoria falls’ after the Queen.

Invention:

Queen Victoria was just 18 years old when she was made Queen, and received the news while in her nightclothes as it was first thing in the morning when her Uncle, King William IV died.

Victorian fact:

Henry Bessemer invents a process to turn iron into a much stronger and lighter material called steel. This made it possible to build larger and stronger parts for buildings, ships and other structures and inventions.
